Re: TR: Summer in Grand Teton National Park, 2023

Oh I second Paul there…. LikeToHike and I did the Cirque of the Towers loop from Big Sandy in Wind River Range a few years ago. Only saw a couple people on trail the whole time we were there. It was a nice place indeed. 👍. My only suggestion would be to be sure and take your sunglasses off when driv...

Re: General site updates

Hey gang..... The email system has been updated to send multipart emails now. (Both Text Only and HTML together) HTML is the default. If you prefer text only and your email client gives you that option you can still choose to view them as text only. They will roughly go from something like this.... ...

Re: TR: Summer in Grand Teton National Park, 2023

That was awesome! That lone tree on that small island was especially cool. … Thanks for all of those! Looking forward to what you may have the next couple days.

Thanks!
Cheers!

Re: Lost post content poll

Ok. Sounds good. Thanks for that. I’m reading up on that error to look at options. Just a couple other questions….. 1) Do you ever get that any time other than when you are posting? 2) Are you aware of any non-default browser settings you may have to try and make your browser more secure. No problem...

Re: Lost post content poll

Oh my! Thanks for that! Did that just happen? I’m wondering if that’s pre or post server reboot from the other day.

Thanks al_in_al!

Kyle.

Re: Lost post content poll

Thanks Orin.... No worries... I'm confident we'll eventually figure out what's going on there, though it might take a little while to track it down. I did reboot the server tonight. That did seem to reset the memory usage quite a bit which is good, so hopefully that may help with the problem al_in_a...

Re: Lost post content poll

Thanks everybody! Occasionally when I try to respond to a post it fails with one of those robot detector violations "The solution you provided was incorrect". Hey Paul.... Thanks for the heads up on that. I will do some looking into that. I hadn't seen that error since one of the phpBB dev...

Lost post content poll

Have you ever lost everything you typed in on a post before it was submitted either because of a session timeout or your browser crashed or for any other reason and had to type it all in again? Perhaps on a long trip report? :cant_watch: Ouch! I know I have... I'm curious if it's a widespread proble...

Re: General site updates

Hey gang.... The forum was just updated to the latest version from v3.3.10 to v3.3.11. Basically just a minor maintenance release but I kinda hate to fall behind on them. Hopefully no one notices any big changes from that. If you do happen to notice anything odd, feel free to reach out and let me kn...

Re: General site updates

Hey gang..... Just a quick site update... 1) Backups.... I'm uncertain what the backup plan was previously. There should be weekly automated backups setup now to cover the site files and database data for each of the 3 main areas (The forum, the extras stuff like the backcountry site details and day...
